Wow Day.
We started off spring term with learning about seasons and weather, animals in cold places and the UK. All children enjoyed finding out about polar bears and the capital cities in the UK.
29.1.19 Maths Open Morning
We had a super morning finding number bonds to 10 and 20, adding and subtracting and problem solving. We used lots of maths equipment and became competitive on 'Hit the Button'.Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who were able to attend. It was great fun!
4.3.19 Maths
Class 4 have been busy counting in 2's and 5's.
5.3.19 Guess Who?
Overnight, we had some visitors come to school. Can you guess which story they are from?
Class 4 will be finding out and exploring the story orally, particularly the repeated phrases. They will also be retelling the story in their own words.
Role Play
We have been busy in our 'Builders Yard.'
6.3.19 Class Visitors
We had a visit from some fluffy animals today. Year 2 have been looking after and learning about chicks. We all had a cuddle before they went back to Mrs Stothert's class.
7.3.19 World Book Day
World Book Day theme was Tails for Tales. Can you guess the characters just by their tails?
We did lots of fun activities. We wrote our own stories, made story maps and bookmarks, shared books with each other, wrote book reviews and acted out our favourite stories.
19.3.19 History Day
We had a special history day in school. We all came dressed as Victorians and learnt about Victorian times.
We did a 'drill' in the playground and Mrs Mansell inspected our hands and fingernails to check we were clean. We made our own chalkboards and practised reading, writing and counting.
We have been learning about the artist Andy Goldsworthy and how he uses the environment to produce art. Inspired by him, Class 4 have produced their own art work using objects in our school environment.
Father's Day Activites
We had a lovely creative morning using Lego. Thank you to all the adults who came.
25.6.19 Twycross Zoo Trip
Although the rain came down on our school trip, it did not dampen our enthusiasm. We saw lots of animals, found out interesting facts and had fun!
24.6.19 - 28.6.19 Cultural Week
We have been learning about Australia. We also had a visit from someone who can play the digeridoo. He got us to have a go too!
