6th July-Home Learning
This week we are continuing with the Africa topic. You will learn about a significant person called Nelson Mandela. You will also learn about the Maasai nomads in rural Kenya. You can read some African folktales and continue with the African art activities. In Science you will continue to learn about plants and their life cycle. To keep you active there are some 8 minute work outs from Joe Wickes.
Monday 29th June-Home Learning.
This week would have been 'cultural week' in school. There are stories from around the world to share at reading time.
Year Two look at Africa at this time of year. There is lots of information and activities to complete.
There is some amazing African art to have a go at and some African dances to try!
Monday 22nd June-Home learning. This week would have been sports week in school so there are some activities / information about healthy eating and the importance of exercise. There are some fitness challenge cards to have a go a and a P.E. lesson with Marcus Rashford!
It is Armed Forces Day on the 27th June. There is a power point to share and a link to the Armed Forces Day website. One of the comprehensions this week is about Armed Forces Day.
Monday 15th June-The home learning for this week is below. Please look at the overview and choose an activity. The resources you need are in the folders. Some worksheets have different levels, for example, the comprehension sheets. Please choose the level that you think is right for your child. One star is the easiest and three stars is the hardest level. (The stars are at the bottom of the sheets).
It is Father's day on the 21st June. There is a folder with lots of activities for children to do for fathers and grandfathers.

New Learning from Monday 11th May...
Hello and warm wishes to all our children and their families. I hope you're all keeping well and coping with the current situation.
Below are the new activities for the children to complete at home, including some fun topic based jobs and some well being activities to support emotional well being. (See Summer Term 1 2020 below.)
Mrs Llewellyn and myself are missing the children incredibly and we can't wait until we can see them all again.

Welcome to Outstanding Owls with Mrs Stothert, Mrs Llewellyn and Mrs Curzon. We are looking forward to a great year and we have lots of exciting activities planned. The children have already settled in well and are all working hard!

10.09.13 In science we're learning about healthy eating, so today we tasted foods from the different food groups. We tried fruit & vegetables, meat, fish, eggs & beans, cereal, rice, pasta & potatoes, dairy and fats & sugars. It was good fun! Can your child explain what a balanced diet is?
13.09.19 In maths we have having been using practical apparatus to make 2 and 3 digit numbers.
13.09.19 This week we've also been investigating how to make different paint colours and shades. Can your child tell you how to make orange, green, purple and brown?
02.03.20 The living eggs arrived in Class 9 and we're all very, VERY excited! When will they hatch?
06.03.20 We have chicks! The children watched as one of the eggs hatched before our eyes. It was brilliant! We've learnt how to take care of them and how to handle them safely. There are two males (Egg Sheeran and David Peckham) and one female (Chicki Minaj).
