Church Gresley Infant and Nursery School offers a wide range of pastoral support for children. These include:
An evaluated Personal, Social, Health and Education (PSHE) curriculum that aims to provide children with the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to enhance their emotional and social knowledge and well-being. Pupil and Parent voice mechanisms are in place e.g. Pupil and Parent/Carer questionnaires, open door policy.
Individual interventions to support children’s well-being are delivered to targeted children. These are identified on the school provision maps and aim to support improved interaction skills, emotional resilience and well-being.
Children who find outside class times difficult are provided with alternative small group opportunities such as Lego Club and lunchtime clubs and action is taken to develop their social interaction skills.
The school has gained Healthy School status which evidences the work undertaken within the school to support children’s well-being and mental health.
The school implements its Anti-bullying policy and e-safety policy ensuring children’s safety and well-being.
The school has a Child & Family Support worker who works directly with children, parents and carers to support family well-being.
School provides a nurture and positive play facility to support children's well-being and personal, social and emotional development.
