Class 6 --- Talented Turtles
On Thursday 7th March we celebrated World Book Day in school. We held our own Vocabulary Parade and children enjoys lots of book related activities. The book we studied in the class was The Colour Monster.
We enjoyed Maths morning in school. Grown ups came to see how we teach mathematical concepts to the children. In the classroom we looked at activities to teach addition and subtraction. We had lots of fun.
In History, we have been learning about the local potteries including Mason and Cash and TG Green. Children have a go at making their own clay pots and painting then using the traditional blue and white Cornish ware pattern.
We have enjoyed Reading Week in school. We have enjoyed stories about Australia and we had the opportunities to buy some new books. We also enjoyed a reading breakfast in the classroom with our grown ups.
In School, we are learning about Our Local Community, children were asked to help to plant bulbs in our local churchyard. The planted bluebells and wild garlic bulbs. The children are excited to go back in the Spring to see if they have grown. All children joined in and were extremely well behaved. Well done Talented Turtles.
On Tuesday 22nd October we had our Literacy Open Morning and Reading Breakfast. It was very well supported and we were lucky to see 20 children bring someone to school with them to see our phonics lesson and engage with some reading activities. Take a look at our learning.
Welcome to Talented Turtles. Our class teacher is Miss Johnson and our T.A is Mrs Cordin. Mrs Duffy also works with us in a morning as a 1-1 support. Miss Lenton also covers in our class, usually on a Wednesday afternoon.
